| Travel to the Japan Alps where autumn is early. Enjoy the beautiful nature view, country-side food, and culture tour. On days where dinner is not included, hotels are near the station so there are choices of restaurants. You'll get a map of the recommended restaurants & location. So that’s why the tour cost is cheaper. You can select your choice on what you want to eat. Arrival at hotel is scheduled around 4 o'clock. With early check-in you can relax in your room or recommend you explore the town. |

From the hotel go to Takayama. Lunch is Hida beef sukiyaki, a sukiyaki pot that’s set per person. Next go to see Takayama Autumn Festival, a float festival that has been held for 350 years with old mechanical dolls that give performances. Then go to hotel. |

From the hotel go to Takayama Morning Market, a daily market near the river with stalls selling vegetables, fruits & other local farm products. Then go to Kamikochi which is part of the Northern Japan Alps, Japan’s famous mountain scenic spot, a remote mountainous highland valley. See Kappabashi and the autumn leaves color change is beautiful. Next visit Hida Great Limestone Cave, a large high-altitude limestone cave with unique rock formations of images. From the hotel go to Shirakawago, a small traditional village famous for a building style known as gassho-zukuri. It is one of UNESCO'S World Heritage Sites and also to Gokayama village (One of 31 Japan’s most beautiful places selected by CNN). It is also famous for the gassho-zukuri houses on a small scale compared to Shirakawa-go but with less tourists you can enjoy the country-side sceneries leisurely. Lunch is your choice at restaurant. Then go to Kanazawa city visit Kenrokuen, one of Japan’s three most beautiful landscape gardens besides Kairakuen in Mito and Korakuen in Okayama. Next visit Ishikawa Local Products Center, a tourism center selling a variety of local goods, including traditional crafts & confectionery. Let’s make stamp by Sandblasted Glass Etching. Then go to hotel in Kanazawa. | × |

Sightseeing within Kanazawa. Visit Ninja-dera (Myouryuji temple), a temple equipped with secret doors and traps built by the Maeda lords during the Edo period. Then visit Omicho Market, a fresh food market since the Edo period with stalls & shops for food, fresh fish & seafood, fruits, etc. It is often called the “Kanazawa Kitchen". Lunch is Sushi. Let's eat fresh fish from the Sea of Japan. Next visit Nagamachi Samurai Bukeyashiki, a village featuring cobblestone streets & former samurai houses. Then visit Higashi Chaya District, a traditional neighborhood with teahouse where geisha perform plus shops selling gold-leaf crafts and souvenirs. Next visit Karakuri Museum, Karakuri is mechanical doll of Edo era. you can try Japan’s unique wooden mosaic puzzles in a designated area and enjoy Karakuri-puppet demonstrations as well. Then return to same hotel. |

From the hotel go to Wajima Morning Market, is the city’s most famous attraction believed to date back over a thousand years. It is lined with vendors selling various goods, including fresh seafood and produce. Next go to see Senmaida Rice Terraces, a scenic rice paddies spread out across a terrace hillside offering a nice view with the sea background. Then visit Urushi Amusement Nuritaro, experience Wajima lacquering. Next visit Hanayome Noren Museum (Bridal Curtain Museum), it is a bridal custom started in Noto, Kaga, and Ecchu provinces of the Kaga Domain (Kaga han) going back to the end of the Edo and Meiji periods (19th century). On the marriage occasion the curtain is hung at the entrance of the Buddhist alter room in the groom's house and the bride goes through it. Then go to hotel in Toyama. |

From the hotel go to ride the Kurobe Torokko Train over Toyama's beautiful Kurobe gorge. Let's enjoy & explore the Torokko route and the spectacular view along the way. Lunch is Toyama Black Ramen, their famous specialty, the soup is black made with koikuchi shoyu. Next visit Hotaru Ika Museum where you can see glowing firefly squid, one of most famous seafood in Toyama. Then visit Ikedaya Yasubei Shoten, it is a store selling traditional Japanese medicines. About 70,000 customers come in a year. It has been a center of the pharmaceutical industry and patent medicines in Japan since the Edo period (1603-1868). They take out medicine according to whatever illness or symptoms. You can see how medicines were made using Edo era techniques, using wooden machines. Experience making medicine. From the hotel take the Kurobe Alpine Route (using cable car, ropeway, bus, etc.) a spectacular journey of the Northern Japan Alps, see magnificent scenery route. Stop at Daikanbo, cable car station where there is outstanding view from the second floor and observation deck atop the station. See Kurobe Dam, at 1,500m it is the highest arch dam in Japan. The dam is 186m tall and 10 cubic meters of water pass through the dam every second generating one billion kWh per year. Lunch is Kurobe Dam Curry, a specialty with a Lake of delicious curry behind a dam of rice. Then go to hotel in Matsumoto. |

From the hotel visit Matsumoto Castle, it is a national treasure as the oldest castle keep of it’s kind in Japan. Next visit Japan Ukiyo-e Museum, discover the world's largest collection of Ukiyo-e – pictures of the floating world. Then visit Daio Wasabi Farm, one of Japan’s largest wasabi farm. Try the wasabi soft cream and in the shop is a wide variety of wasabi related products. Lunch is famous Nagano japanese soba. Next visit Azumino Winery, take a short tour. From the hotel go to grape picking. Let's eat Yamanashi grapes, which are said to be the best in Japan. Next go to Oishi Park, you can see Kochia (summer cypress) which is like red shrubs in a field with a great view of Mt.Fuji. Then visit Mt.Fuji Museum, a museum featuring interactive displays on the history of Mt. Fuji and geographical information. Lunch is Hotonabe which is Yamanashi’s delicious local noodle dish. Next visit Oshino Hakkai, a small village in a scenic setting with 8 ponds filled with natural snow melted water that dripped down from Mt.Fuji. Then go to hotel in Hakone Yumoto onsen. |

From the hotel go to Owakudani, a volcanic valley with active sulphur vents and many of the nearby onsens get their hotspring water. Next go on a Lake Ashi sightseeing boat ride, if the weather is clear you can possibly see Mt.Fuji. Then drive passing through Sengokuhara field, only during this season you can see lots of “Susuki" (tall pampas grass) growing. Next return to same hotel early and you can walk around the onsen town or use the onsen & relax in your room. |

From Hakone go to Sakura Furusato Square where you can see about 500,000 Cosmos flower blooming. Next stop at Aeon Mall for last minute shopping for omiyage. Then go to Narita airport for your departure flight to Honolulu. |
