ASAHIDAKE ONSEN
HOTEL DEER VALLEY 
From Chitose we go to Furano to visit the Tomita Farm, where we will see the lavender fields and other flowers in bloom. Lunch is pizza using Furano cheese. Next we go to Biei village, which is said to be the most beautiful village in Japan. And We visit Shikisai-no-Oka, a panoramic flower garden. You can ride a tractor bus to get around the flower garden easily. Next we go to see Aoi-Ike (Blue Pond), a man-made pond where the color of the water changes depending on the weather. Finally we go to the hotel.

HOTEL WBF GRANDE

After leaving the hotel we ride the Asahidake Ropeway. Mt. Asahidake is the highest mountain in Hokkaido. Enjoy the earliest autumn leaves in Japan. We are then going to see the Kotan Matsuri. “Kotan Matsuri is a festival highlighting the spirit of the Ainu’s appreciation of nature with traditional ceremonies. Next we go to Asahikawa to visit the Otokoyama sake factory. Finally we go to the hotel.

DORMY INN

From the hotel we go to Asahikawa station to ride the limited express train “Sarobetsu” to Wakkanai station, the northernmost station in Japan. Enjoy the vast view of Hokkaido. Lunch on the train is the most popular eki-ben: Ezo Wappa (crab, sea urchin, scallop, salmon roe). After arriving at Wakkanai station we go to the Wakkanai Centennial Memorial Tower. From there you can see Wakkanai city and if the weather is clear you can also see Rishiri-Fuji, Rebun island, and Sakhalin. Finally we go to the hotel.

RISHIRI HOTEL

From the hotel we go to Wakkanai port and ride a ferry to Rishiri island, part of the Rishiri-Rebun-Sarobetsu National Park. For lunch those that want to eat Kaisen-don (seafood on rice), you can order that and others can choose something else. On a clear day you can see Mt. Rishiri-Fuji, one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan. We will see Himenuma – a man-made pond, Otatomari Swamp & and other scenic places of Rishiri. Next we go to the Rishiri Island Museum. Finally we go to the hotel.

After leaving the hotel on Rishiri island, we catch the ferry back to Wakkanai. Next we go to the northern point of Cape Soya, to see the Old Naval Watchtower, a fortress built as a border defense in 1904 when diplomatic relations between Japan and Russia was at its worst. You can overlook the Soya Strait from this view. Next we take a drive on the white path, which is made from crushed scallop shells. There will be magnificent sea views along this road. Our destination is Sarufutsu, a famous town for scallops. They sell various kinds of scallops, ideal for gifts. Lunch is scallop cuisine. Finally we go to the hotel in Mombetsu and enjoy a variety of crab for dinner.

From the hotel we go to the Okhotsk Sea Ice Museum GIZA, a museum with exhibits, live creatures, a movie theatre, and an ice room where the temperature is kept at minus 20C/ -68 degrees Fahrenheit (winter jackets are provided). You can touch the real drift ice, spin a damp towel to see what happens and watch a short video about the drift ice. Next we go to the Okhotsk Tokkari (Seal) Center where you can see different types of seals. We then go to Lake Notoro and see the red coral grass called red carpet. Next we go to the old Abashiri prison which is an open-air museum showing the inside of the prison, to see how it was in the past. Finally we go to the hotel.

From the hotel we go to the Shiretoko peninsula, a world natural heritage site. First, we go to see the Oshinkoshin waterfall, then we visit the Shiretoko Ezo Deer Farm to see Ezo deer. Next we go to Onnebetsu-gawa. From fall to winter you can see salmon swimming upstream to lay eggs in this mountain stream. Next we visit the Shiretoko National Park Nature Center, a visitor center where you can learn more about this area. From there we go to see the Shiretoko Five LakesFrom there we drive through the Shiretoko Pass to see the beautiful Mt. Rausu also called Shiretoko-Fuji and the island of Kunashiri. Finally we go back to the same hotel.

After leaving the hotel at Kussharo we go to see Lake Mashu, a caldera lake in Akan National Park which is often covered with fog. Next we go to see Mt. Io (Sulfur Mountain), an active volcano. From there we go on a Lake Akan sightseeing cruise to see the beautiful autumn leaves. In addition we will see the curious green moss ball: marimo at Churui island. Next we visit the Akan International Crane Center to see the endangered species Tancho-zuru, the red-crowned Japanese crane. Finally we go to the hotel in Obihiro. Dinner is Obihiro's specialty: pork bowl. After dinner, for those that want to see Obihiro's famous the street food stalls we can take you.

From the hotel we visit the Ryugetsu Sweetpia Garden, a Hokkaido confectionery shop and factory. The most popular items are An Bata San, and Sanporoku. At the factory you may be able to buy the outlet sweets at a cheaper price. Lunch is Kamameshi made with Hokkaido ingredients. Next we visit the Historical Village of Hokkaido, a historical open air museum of relocated and restored buildings that represent the history of Hokkaido from 1868 to 1920. There are 52 buildings in all, arranged in four groups: the town, the fishing village, the farm village, and the mountain village. Learn about the lives of the Hokkaido people during the pioneering era. Dinner is Jingisukan at Sapporo Beer Garden restaurant. Eat anything you want, any amount. In the afternoon return to Sapporo to visit The Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium and theSapporo Olympic Museum. Next we go to Odori Park and the Sapporo TV Tower. From the hotel we go to Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill to see the bronze statue of Hokkaido’s most famous American: William S. Clark, a well-known symbol of the frontier spirit of Hokkaido and a leader in agricultural education. Next we visit the Upopoy National Ainu Museum, a new National Ainu Museum which replaced the old one that you may have visited in the past. You At this museum you can learn about the Ainu’s life and culture. Next we go to see Mt. Showa-Shinzan, a volcanic lava dome formed during the Showa period. That's how it got it’s name. After checking out of the hotel, we go to Hakodate. First we visit the Hakodate Kombu Museum and Shop and next we go to Goryokaku, which is a western-style fort completed almost 150 years ago. It is designated in Japan as a special historic site. For lunch we go to “Lucky Pierrot", which is only found in Hakodate and is the no.1 burger chain. After lunch we see the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, and then we go to the hotel. In the evening we ride the Mt. Hakodate ropeway and see the night view.

In the morning we go to the famous Hakodate morning market. After that we go to Hakodate airport and fly to Narita airport for departure flights to Honolulu.
